At Soof Heuvelrug, it's all about relaxed enjoyment, surrounded by nature. While you seek peace and quiet or immerse yourself in a good book on the veranda of your lodge, the children can explore the park as if it were their own backyard. Our facilities have been designed with care: playful and inviting for young ones, stylish and serene for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Playing in style – the nature playground
Don't expect loud plastic equipment, but a stylish nature playground where children are challenged to climb, discover and play with what nature has to offer. Barefoot in the sand, balancing on wooden tree trunks and climbing playful structures – while you enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the sun.
And if you want to explore further, take a walk through the woods, along the river or across the fields surrounding the park.
Water fun with a touch of comfort
As soon as the sun comes out, the swimming pool becomes the lively heart of the park. Surrounded by green trees and stylish sunbathing areas, the heated outdoor pool invites you to relax and enjoy moments together. For the little ones, there is the playful spray park: a colourful water playground with fountains, water jets and soft surfaces - safe, cheerful and refreshing. While the children enjoy themselves in the water, you can relax with a good book or a refreshing drink at the edge of the pool. Everything exudes convenience, tranquillity and that holiday feeling.
*We reserve the right to close the pool when the outside temperature is below 21 degrees.
Important information about the swimming pool:
- Open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sustainably heated with a heat pump
- 1.4 metres deep
- Free for park guests
- Small fee for day visitors

Entertainment with attention - recreation & experience
At Soof, entertainment is not about hustle and bustle, but about experience. No loud mascots, but a summer programme full of fun and surprising activities for our young guests. Think craft hours, games in nature, or making your own nature artwork.
We regularly welcome special guests to the park: the forest ranger takes the children on a discovery tour through the woods, looking for traces of badgers and deer. And during special weeks, there are even ponies at the park - a dream come true for every animal lover.
For those who want to explore
We encourage our guests to leave the park behind every now and then. Rent bicycles, put on your walking shoes, or discover the Utrechtse Heuvelrug with your family. Within a few minutes, you will be in the middle of the forest, on a sand drift, or by a babbling brook.
